Volunteer
We need the gift of your time and talent! Volunteers are the lifeblood of APL.
We look to volunteers to
– walk dogs
– socialize cats
– cuddle with kittens and puppies
– bathe and groom animals in need
– show off pets at adoption events
– and so many other hands-on interactions with pets
We also need volunteers to help with fund-raising, marketing, and administrative tasks.
Whatever your talents and interests, we have a role for you.
The first step in the process is to complete and submit a Volunteer Application.
Once we approve your application, we will schedule you for an orientation session.
REQUIREMENTS
– You must be at least 16 years of age
– Please bring picture ID with you to your volunteer orientation session
– If you’re under 18, you will need to bring a parent/guardian with you to orientation to fill out waivers
SPECIAL ACCOMMODATIONS
If you would need special accommodations to volunteer and interact with our animals, please let us know. (e.g., wheelchair access, visual/hearing aids, etc.). Please note that we cannot always accommodate these requests due to our small staff and facility. Please contact us, before applying to volunteer if you have concerns or questions.
